Send a request to the WebJustice support address from the email associated with your account. You do not need to reinstall WebJustice or access the password-protected website to initiate the request.
- Email justice@webjustice.ca with the subject WebJustice Account Deletion Request.
- Identify the email address registered to your WebJustice account. Do not email your password, one-time codes, or confidential legal documents.
- We may reply with a proportionate identity-verification step to prevent unauthorized deletion. Once verified, we will process your request and explain any information that must be retained for security, legal compliance, or backup recovery.
If the email button does not open a mail application, manually send your message to justice@webjustice.ca.
Inside WebJusticeDelete from your account
If you can still sign in to WebJustice, open Your WebJustice account → Account security → Permanently delete my account and saved data. Follow the confirmation and identity-verification steps shown. The deletion control is permanent; export any information you want to keep before proceeding.
You do not have to use the in-app route. The email request above remains available if you no longer have the app or cannot sign in.
Data scopeWhat is deleted, and what may remain?
Following verification, the normal account-deletion workflow removes the account and associated active records from the primary WebJustice database, including user-owned case files, saved documents, profile details, conversation history, and calendar/reminder records where linked to that account.
Certain operational security or audit records, transaction records if payments are later enabled, information subject to legal preservation requirements, and data processed by external service providers may need to be retained separately. We do not treat account deactivation as account deletion.
Backups and additional retention: Encrypted recovery copies can still contain previously deleted records until the relevant snapshots expire. Our current ordinary backup rotation includes daily copies for 30 days and monthly copies for 12 months, plus recent recovery snapshots. Separately tagged or legally preserved copies may follow a different schedule. Deleting a WebJustice account does not instantly erase copies in independent provider systems. Contact us if you need the retention details applicable to your request.
We aim to process verified requests promptly and will communicate if additional verification or a lawful retention obligation affects your request. We cannot promise a universal deletion deadline for every independent backup or external processor.
